Two day teaching in Seattle
Clear Light Yoga (Tibetan: འོད་གསལ་གྱི་རྣལ་འབྱོར།) is the most essential aspect of the Six Yogas of the Dzogrim (Completion stage practices). During the death process, the innate Mother Clear Light can be realized. The ‘Union of Mother and Child Clear Light’ is the terminology used when one dissolves in that light and this is known as spiritual realization. This teaches us how to maintain awareness as one falls into the state of deep sleep, in order to familiarize oneself with and prepare for the Clear Light state.
Dr. Nida will bestow the essential empowerment of the Yuthok Nyingthig, and give transmission, guidance, and explanation of this simple yet extremely profound meditation practice. He will also give an explanation of the Inner Guru Yoga practice, second of four Guru Yogas in the Yuthok Nyingthig tradition that has a direct link with Clear Light Yoga.
These teachings are open to everyone, however in order to practice this (or any of the Yuthok Nyingthig Six Yoga practices) in retreat, one must make a commitment to complete a seven day Yuthok Nyinghtig ngöndro (preliminary practices) retreat and one Guru Yoga retreat. Group retreats are held at several Sorig Khang International centers around the world. Personal instruction in the preliminary and guru yoga practices can also be given by Dr. Nida's senior students in order to prepare students for personal retreat. Please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
Price: $215. Student, senior, and early bird discounts apply.
